Come and meet the staff at our school!
We have built an enthusiastic and hugely committed team at Halterworth and appoint enthusiastic and skilled staff when the opportunity arises, to bring new ideas and opportunities for our children. We support all staff to achieve outstanding outcomes and provide rich professional development opportunities to be the best they can be in their role.
The school is led by Julie Bray as Headteacher, who commenced her role in September 2023. She is responsible for the overall strategic direction and success of this school. She is also the Co-Exec Leader for Teacher Development & SEND for our Multi Academy Trust with The University of Winchester (UWinAT). Julie is supported by a strong leadership team which has been restructured following the retirement of the previous Headteacher.

Hannah Easton (Deputy Headteacher)
Hannah Easton commenced her teaching career at Halterworth in 2015 and has taught in various year groups in Key Stage 2. She has taken on a range of coaching and mentoring roles as well as supporting other schools. As well as teaching a Year 6 class, she is looking forward to continuing being part of the new Leadership team and working with staff to enhance outcomes for all children.

Rhiannon Wright (Assistant Headteacher)
Rhiannon started at Halterworth in 2010 as a TA before commencing her teaching training at the school. Since then, the various roles and responsibilities she has held have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of curriculum development, assessment and outstanding teaching and learning. These have ranged from, working as a Hampshire writing moderator to a Senior Leader in Education in English and assessment. Rhiannon is eager to contribute to the ongoing successes of Halterworth and the Training School.

Nicky Crosland (Head of KS1)
Nicky joined Halterworth in September 2022 as Leading Teacher for Early Years. Prior to this, she was an Early Years Leading Teacher for Hampshire County Council. As KS1 lead, Nicky brings a wealth of experience in early education, professional learning for staff and is also leading Phonics and Early Reading for the school.

Jenny Kittley Davies (Inclusion Leader/SENDCo)
Jenny is a qualified Special Needs Coordinator, who takes particul
ar responsibility for pupils with additional educational needs. Working with others across the Trust, she ensures that as a school we do all that we can to ensure that every child makes superb progress.
